Community contribution

Canon Optron believes in building the future with chemistry and materials. We fulfill our social responsibilities through activities that benefit the community.

Exhibited at the Yuki City Festival

Canon Optron actively participated in community contribution efforts by being a sponsor of and exhibiting in the Yuki City Festival held in autumn.

Camera Lens Making Workshop

We conducted a camera lens making workshop at the Ishijimakensetsu Planet Hall Yuki Library.
28 elementary school students and guardians from within and outside Yuki City participated in the workshop.

周辺美化活動
Neighborhood beautification

Neighborhood beautification

We conduct cleanups in the neighborhood around our office, which beautifies the environment of Yuki City and promotes kyosei with the local community.

Interactions with nearby nursery schools

The goats that help control the weeds on our premises can soothe the spirit. We organized a “meet the goats” event and invited the children from the nearby nursery schools so that they could have some interaction with animals even with their reduced outings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sandbox donation

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Canon Optron’s move to Yuki City, we constructed a sandbox in the park next to our office building and donated it to the city.
The outer frame that surrounded the sandbox was artificial wood made from recycled plastic originating from plastic discarded by other Canon factories.
