What are evaporation materials?
Evaporation materials are the raw materials needed for vacuum evaporation, which is a method for applying a thin film onto a substrate*.
The surfaces of objects like glasses, camera lenses, and LCD displays are covered with several layers of extremely thin film.
This thin film, which is applied using a method called vacuum evaporation (vapor deposition), can fulfil various functions, such as:
- Prevent light reflections
- Act as a transparent electrode
- Keep out dirt and water.
Evaporation materials are used to create microfilm, which has become indispensable in many modern products such as computers, audio and communications devices, recording media such as CDs, and even solar cells.
